Dear Friends,

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”

“Knowledge is a treasure, but practice is the key to it.”
- Lao Tzu

It gives me a great pleasure to write to you on this prestigious platform of IAP. A venture so big and ambitious that few would have dared to think about it and even fewer would have had the passion to actually go about creating a reality from a dream.

How important is a drug formulary book to a doctor? I feel it is as essential as the first cry to a neonate. I say this because in today’s world, there are a number of drugs available in the market, with varied compositions and combinations. It is very easy for a doctor to get lost in the sea of new drugs that are available every day.

In such an event, to create a one stop solution for quick search of recommended dosages for 615 drugs which are exclusively used in neonates, children and adolescents is a herculean task. To include evidence-based schedules where most pediatric illnesses are detailed for each drug is nothing short of amazing.

I take this opportunity to congratulate Dr Jeeson C Unni, Editor-in-Chief et al. of the book for their devotion and IAP CMIC for support towards maintaining the International Standard of the IAP Drug Formulary.

I wish the new edition of the book, the Online version and all the fresh updates - a resounding success.

Kind regards
